Collective Worship, within a Christian context, plays an important part in the life of our school.  It aims to be an oasis of peace at the start of a busy school day, where staff and children meet together in a calm and peaceful atmosphere, and where all present are given the opportunity to reflect and participate.  We hope that the values discussed during worship, such as compassion for others, care and kindness, tolerance, respect and forgiveness, might manifest themselves in our day to day words and actions and have a positive impact on the daily life of our school.

Whilst worship reflects the Anglican foundation of the school, a range of local Christian clergy pay regular visits to the school and lead us in worship.There are opportuntities for those from faith backgrounds to actively engage in worship and prayer, and for those of non faith to reflect and ponder upon the theme.

Themes are planned with contributions from pupils, staff and leaders and reflect current issues in the world, Christian festivals and moral values.

Should you wish to discuss any aspect of worship in school further, or wish to withdraw your child from worship, please do not hesistate to contact the Headteacher.
